Twitch & YouTube

It shouldn't come as a surprise that I've been on the Internet for a very long time. In fact, I started putting content on YouTube in 2006 in the form of Counter-Strike frag videos. That continued for as long as I played Counter-Strike until I discovered Justin.TV which eventually become known as Twitch. By the time I was playing Quake Live in around 2014, I didn't hesitate to start streaming my games. After securing a partnership with Nexuiz and FraggedNation, I broadcasted and shout casted my first tournament on Twitch the same year. Unfortunately, my streaming ended around 2015 when I just got too busy with IRL to keep up.Fast forward to 2019, a year after I moved abroad to Indonesia. Thanks to a very insightful discussion with my best friend, he convinced me to log in to my old Twitch account and start streaming again. This time, however, to start with speedrunning content. From there, the future was laid out before me.It goes without saying that I've continued to publish creative content on YouTube in various forms. I have Quake speedrunning technique videos, more frag videos for various games, and some meme content for the lulz.

Arkaeus

Music Composer, DJ and Musician

I've been making music since I was 12 years old, messing around in Playstation 2's Frequency and MAGIX Music Maker. It wasn't long after I started composing music in Cockos Reaper and released my first track to the internet, Blue Stahli's ULTRAnumb remix in 2010. Since then I've released multiple remixes, EPs, and two full-length albums. I like to dabble in various electronic genres, so be sure to check out the discography.Making music just wasn't enough though; I also spent a large part of my time DJing. I was featured twice at a local radio station, had a timeslot on Melbshuffle.com, and ran a series of mixes for a few years. If you give me a bass guitar and said to play anything, I'll bust out some familiar metal and rock riffs for you. I had the luxury of playing in several groups in the past which included a three-man classic rock and a metal cover band. I also picked up the drums and am very fond of double-pedalling to tracks.Rendezvous Original Soundtrack
One of my bigger achievements to date is being the composer of an Indonesian indie game called "Rendezvous" in 2023. I created 28 tracks and released the OST on Steam as DLC, with reviews such as:
"[...] impressive soundtrack, making the most out of ambient sound and leaning heavily into its futuristic aesthetic" - Gaming Cypher
"The soundtrack is right on point as well, with heavy synth chords providing depth and layers to this capitalist technocracy" - Checkpoint Gaming
"When the music plays, Rendezvous is stellar and that’s why we are so happy it has a soundtrack you can buy from the STEAM store page!" - Honey's Anime
The Rendezvous OST was nominated for the 2023 The Lazy Game Awards "Best Indonesian Score & Music" award

eSports & Speedrunning

Gaming History & Records

My older brother stayed up all night on December 3rd, 2003 to make sure Valve's Steam client downloaded and Counter-Strike was ready to go. We had been playing the CD version (1.5) for about a year by then and our dial-up service barely gave way to playing on online servers. It shouldn't be a surprise either that I spent hours playing Monkey Island, Star Wars: Balance of Power, Rebel Moon Rising, and Age of Empires. You can probably guess my university years really marked the beginning of my eSports career. I played Starcraft in CSL, CS:S & CS:GO in local LAN tournaments, and eventually got recruited to Nexzil eSports. I had the rare opportunity of playing against the likes of SK Gaming (eg. rapha) and compLexity in ShootMania, Indonesian CS:GO professionals (BoysWithLove) in VALORANT, and playing in QuakeCon 2021's QuakeWorld tournament. Currently, I'm dabbling in Apex Legends and looking to gain some tournament experience to continue advancing my eSports career.I never really thought the first game I started speedrunning would land me a World Record. I guess that's what happens when you speedrun a game that's pretty unknown; Project Warlock. That was my gateway into Quake (1996), a game I barely played as a child but played a ton of Quake Live. With some Single Segment, Individual Level, and Real-Time Attack runs under my belt, optimization is the name of the game.

Community Leader

Twitch Indonesia Community & Indonesian Speedrunning Community

When I was in university I volunteered with a local gaming community -- Gaming Ottawa -- as the community's Counter-Strike division leader. We ran several LANs (hundreds of participants) over the course of three years, including fighting game tournaments. This valuable experience paved the way for my leadership experience.I joined TIC just a few weeks after its inception in June 2019, where I took on an active role with the Co-Founders in leading the community. Eventually, I worked alongside the Co-Founders as a Community Manager and since then have taken an active role as the leading spokesperson behind the Indonesian Twitch Movement. I had a webinar segment in UniPin SEACA Talks 2021, worked with various Indonesian Game development studios (Toge Productions, Twinhearts, Pendopo Studios) in promotional events, and continuously organize events.Right before I joined TIC in 2019, I also created the Indonesia Speedrunning Association (ISA) which was a community that brought Indonesian speedrunners together. In May 2022, I merged ISA with a new community -- ISC -- and happily joined the leadership team. Our community promotes local speedrunners, organizes speedrunning events (marathons), and aims to run the first-ever Indonesian GamesDoneQuick clone.

Engineering Manager

Full Time Career

After graduating with Computer Science Honors and specializing in Theoretical CS, I thoroughly enjoy a full-time career in problem-solving. My specialty lies in Full-Stack development where I'm passionately looking at architectural integrity, encapsulated code, and separation & reduction of business logic. I've worked with ReactJS, Node, GraphQL, Django, Python, .NET, and various toolings such as Docker, Webpack, JIRA, Nessus, Metasploit, and more. I've also been trained in various UX best practices and make it my priority to engage with other departments such as Customer Experience, Product, Design, and more. However much I enjoy my time spent solving problems at the coding level, I'm also a natural leader. I step up when an opportunity arises (and in some cases, I open the opportunity) and guide others in their careers. I make it a priority to learn various techniques such as time management, personal goal setting, maximizing productivity, and communication skills. I take ownership of the areas my team owns and promote continuous, upscaling, and synergetic effectiveness as a single entity. I'm always ensuring that we're cooperating with stakeholders on their timelines, reviewing deliverables with architectural seniors, and increasing our effectiveness every quarter.

Indonesian Game Industry Ally

Pushing the boundaries for local video games

The indie game industry here in Indonesia is on the rise and what better way to support our game companies than to provide my expertise. That is precisely why I've volunteered on multiple projectsRendezvous - Editor, QA, Composer, Consultant
Big shoutouts to Pendopo Studio for having me a part of their team. I first came onboard to help with their English translations and ended up becoming so much more. I composed the OST, logged over 100 bugs, and consulted between them and their publisher to see a successful game launch.
Matchmaker Agency - Writer & Editor
I was brought onboard with the expectation to proofread the English and was later granted the permission to re-write most of the story. Interweaving the characters and their stories was an absolute pleasure as I pumped them full of life and wonder.
The Sun Shines Over Us - Lead Editor
Totaling approximately 21,000 lines of dialogue, I led a team of two editors to see this game's English quality skyrocket. I managed communications, tight deadlines, and editing guidelines of the team.
